Give every watchlist entry a reason.

Save the question you want to revisit, not only the company name.

A watchlist is most useful when it preserves the reason you added a company. Without that context, a growing list can become another place to lose track of research.

Write a one-line note

Record what caught your attention and what you want to investigate next. Keep the note specific enough to be useful a month later.

Group by research purpose

Separate new candidates, companies under review, and businesses you are following over time.

Review and remove

Revisit the list periodically. Removing a name when it no longer fits the research question is part of keeping the process useful.
